FILTERS filtering to any desired micron rating is achieved by means of high efficiency non-hygrosocopic cartidges. The filter medium is progressively denser in the direction of flow. This unique feature ensures large dust holding capacity. The filter housing is designed for facile replacement of the cartridges. The cartridges may be replaced when the gauge provided indicates excessive pressure drop across the filter.
The degassing chamber is fully-welded construction, with no seals. Thus, any seal failures or improper assembly are totally eliminated. The optional design ensure maximum spread of oil, thereby maximizing exposure of oil to the vacuum. This is achieved within a very compact construction, with suitable designed columns of Rasching rings. With this optimal design, the single stage degassing system produces a final oil quality in terms of water content and gas content, of an order which is unobtainable even with a double stage system.
The oil is heated to conditioning temperature by and electrical oil heater. The heater elements are isolated from the oil in shell. A generously dimensioned heat transfer surface which results in low specific heat load ensures safe progressive heating of the oil. The total heating capacity is subdivided into a number of independent, thermostatically controlled, heating stages, suitable baffles in the heater vessel ensure that the oil passes over the entire length of all the heater tubes, thereby avoiding hotspots.
In addition to the controlling thermostats, a pre-set safety thermostat is provided to prevent accidental overheating of the oil. A pressure -relief valve is provided to take care of any accidental rise in pressure over the desired level.

A positive displacement pump, suitably sealed at the glands for pressure and vacuum, is provided. A built-in relief valve takes care of any excessive pressure rise.
The conditioned oil from the degassing chamber is drawn out by a centrifugal gland less pump. This gland less pump features ensures total isolation of the conditioned oil from the atmosphere and is essential for maintained the quality of the oil. This pump, besides by virtue of being gland less, requires no maintenance, whatsoever.
Vacuum Pumping system of high throughput capacity is provided for evacuating the degassing chamber. Provision is also made to use plant vacuum pumping system for transformer evacuation is offered as an optional item.
These pumping systems are capable of achieving and sustaining a high degree of vacuum, thereby ensuring the final quality of the oil and proper drying of the transformer.
